PREEDA YOUNGSUKSATHAPORN

Preeda is a department manager at the National Innovation Agency (NIA) of Thailand. In addition, he is the founder and the secretary-general of the Innovation and Intellectual Property Association (IPA). Prior to joining NIA, Preeda was an assistant district chief at the Ministry of Interior, Thailand. Subsequently, he joined the Thai Economic Cabinet, serving in a secretarial position. Preeda was also previously a researcher with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).

Furthermore, Preeda has a wealth of experience in the business world, being the founder and managing director of several companies including Natural Freight and Service Co. Ltd, Sky and Rain Kennel and Ton Kla Pa Yai Co. Ltd.

Preeda is also a well-known columnist for the Manager Daily newspaper and the Innovation Link magazine. He is also the author of several books relating to intellectual property such as Thailand Competitive Innovation Strategies and Thailand Innovation and IP Valuation Handbook. In addition, Preeda has been a guest-speaker for Stock Exchange of Thailand, TOT Public Company Limited, Sahaphat Group, Japan Intellectual Property Association, Asia Pacific Center for Transfer of Technology, UN-ESCAP and Institution of Engineers (Sri Lanka) and is frequently invited as a guest-speaker for various national and international seminars.

  • Masters in Public Policy (with Distinction), The Australian National University
  • LL.B, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University
  • Certificate in Intellectual Property Law (WIPO)
  • Certificate in System Analysis, Chulalongkorn University
  • Certificate in Design and Evaluation of Innovation, United Nations University, The Netherlands
