PETER LOW

Peter Low is a European Patent Attorney and a UK Chartered Patent Attorney. He joined the private practice patent agent firm of Wilson, Gunn and Ellis, Manchester (now Wilson, Gunn M'Caw) in 1969, becoming a partner in 1980 and senior partner in 1993. He retired from full time practice in 1997 but remains a consultant to the firm.

Peter has given tutorials for the UK Qualifying examinations for over twenty years. In 1989, he set up the Manchester CEIPI basic training course for the European Qualifying Examination. He has given lectures and tutorials around the world, in particular to Danish patent attorneys, in many countries of Eastern Europe including the Eurasian group of countries, the countries of the ARIPO group and to countries of the ASEAN group under the ECAP scheme.

He is a tutor for the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi) preparing candidates for the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) and a tutor on the paper-D EQE training course at Queen Mary College, London University. He is also the editor of a guide to the PCT for students, which is published by the University Robert Schuman Strasbourg, France. He is a tutor and lecturer for the postgraduate certificate course in Intellectual Property at Manchester University, England.

Peter is also one of the Examiners of the Singapore Patent Agent Qualifying Examination.
