PEEYAKORN
SUPARUGBUNDIT
Peeyakorn graduated with 2nd
Class Honours from Thammasat University where she earned a Bachelor’s
degree in Biotechnology. At Thammasat University, she conducted
research on Morphology, Anatomy and Physiology of Salt-Tolerant and
Drought-Tolerant Rice for the Plant Physio-biochemistry Laboratory,
National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC) in
Thailand. She also researched on the effects of gamma ray on the growth
of Celosia argentea var. cristata,for her final
year project.
After completing the Bachelor’s
degree, Peeyakorn received a Master’s degree in Biotechnological Law
and Ethics from The University of Sheffield, England. Currently, she is
studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Law at Thammasat University.
Prior to joining the Axis,
Peeyakorn worked as a researcher for the Drug System Monitoring
& Development Program, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science at
Chulalongkorn University. During her stint in the program, she carried
out a study on the registration procedures for medicinal products in
the United Kingdom and European Union. She has also previously
presented as a guest speaker for the Department of Biotechnology at
Thammasat University on Biotechnological Law to young scientists in
Thailand.
