LEIF R. SLOAN

Leif joined Axis Intellectual Capital in 2009, and is a Patent Agent registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Leif is focused on patent application drafting and prosecution, technology evaluation, IP landscape analysis, invention generation, IP education, and patent program implementation.  Leif additionally assists with IP licensing and IP diligence activities pertaining to project funding, research and development partnerships, and business acquisitions.

Leif handles mechanical, electronic, semiconductor, optoelectronic, nanotechnology, applied life sciences, medical device, computer architecture, computer network, reconfigurable computing, computer hardware and software, communication, image processing, speech and handwriting recognition, and business method patents.

Immediately prior to joining Axis, Leif served as the Senior Intellectual Property Manager at Northstar Neuroscience in Seattle, Washington.  While at Northstar, Leif managed the strategic generation and prosecution of a substantial IP portfolio, plus in-house IP diligence activities spanning multiple corporate financing events including an initial public offering.  Leif has worked as a Patent Agent in both corporate and law firm environments, and has additionally worked as a process engineer in the semiconductor industry.
