KEN LOW
Kenneth is an IP and Investment consultant and provides companies and organizations with IP intelligence and competitive intelligence to enable them to maintain their competitive edge, both in technology and business as well as early stage venture creation support to entrepreneurs and technopreneurs. Kenneth is currently involved in managing the investment process of multiple projects, with a total combined value in excess of US 500 million.
Most recently, Kenneth was the Director of Business Development at Enerhgy, a subsidiary of the National Healthcare Group (NHG). He was tasked at opening new markets for NHG's radiologists, and to secure collaborative agreements with foreign medical institution.
Prior to that, Kenneth was Senior Manager at Exploit Technologies, a member of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) where he took on multiple roles within the organization. Most notably, he was tasked to seek out and shepherd potential new spin-offs from A*STAR's portfolio of research institutes. In this role, he successfully introduced an investor for D-SIMLAB, and also sat on the Board of muvee Technologies Pte Ltd.
To populate the incubation pipeline, Kenneth was also involved in Exploit's Flagship projects, and in this capacity, he successfully raised internal funding for two projects: The Institute of Materials Research and Engineering's (IMRE) White LED technology and Flexible Low Permeation Substrate Technology. Both projects were funded in 2006, and still remains leaders in their respective fields of technology today.
Kenneth has served as a member of the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Technology Scan team for Nanotechnology for the Science and Technology Plan 2006 – 2010, and was the author of A*STAR’s groundbreaking study to map A*STAR’s Nanotechnology patent portfolio across the entire A*STAR group of research institutes.
In addition, Kenneth has been a practitioner of Competitive Intelligence for the past 10 years. He was a founding member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals – Singapore, and member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence.
